ROI Institute Conducting Record Number of ROI Certification Workshops

(Birmingham, AL) —The economy and recession are driving increased accountability in all types of organizations. Many executives need to see the value of specific projects and programs and this is driving a demand for increased ROI Certification. During April, May and June of this year, the ROI Institute will conduct 11 ROI Certification Workshops. This is a record number in any three month period. This includes public and several private certifications in the USA and other countries such as Denmark, France, Greece, Mexico and Italy. Jack Phillips added, “At the current pace there will be approximately 40 ROI Certification Workshops this year surpassing any previous year in the Institute’s history. While much of the demand is based on desire to show the impact of programs and projects currently underway, other orgainzations are using this opportunity to build capability for the future.”

The ROI Certification builds internal capability to conduct ROI studies. Individuals attend a five-day workshop to build skills with ROI methodology and must complete an ROI study to earn the designation Certified ROI Professional. To date, almost 5,000 managers and professionals have participated in the ROI Certification process.

More employers are requiring this certified ROI designation, particularly in learning and development and human resource areas. According to Patti Phillips, “In the future, there will be increased accountability in all types of projects and programs. Top executives and key clients will be demanding value for whatever they spend and to prepare for this accountability revolution, many organizations are building capability now so that they can be proactive and not wait for the request to come”.

More public certifications are planned in North America in the near future; in July in Greensboro, North Carolina; in August in Des Moines, Iowa and San Juan, Puerto Rico; and in October in Long Beach, Mississippi and Vancouver, Canada.
