Cruise and Learn with Jack Phillips
(Birmingham)—The University of Southern Mississippi Jack and Patti Phillips Workplace Learning and Performance Institute invites you to “Cruise and Learn” aboard Carnival Cruise Lines, departing from New Orleans, Louisiana on June 27, 2009 returning July 2, 2009, with stops in Progresso and Cozumel, Mexico.
Dr. Jack Phillips, chairman of the ROI Institute, will present “The Consultant’s Bootcamp: Successful Practices for Internal and External Consultants.” This workshop will show a step-by-step approach for developing a successful external or internal consulting practice. Although consulting is the most sought after occupation, it represents the professional occupation with the highest failure rate. Within the first two years, the vast majority of consulting practices fail. Why? Because they were not planned, not fully capitalized, and didn’t have a niche product or service. With planning, preparation, and an excellent business plan, the chances of success are greatly enhanced.
The methods taught in this bootcamp are based on actual experience. The lead facilitator, Jack Phillips, has developed one consulting practice, sold it for several million dollars and now has another successful consulting practice. He has documented his success in case study books and in a best seller from McGraw Hill, How to Build a Successful Consulting Practice. Phillips will lead you through the appropriate steps to ensure that the consulting practice starts properly, is well-funded and is built on successful factors.
Participants have the option to take this seminar for noncredit or academic credit.
