ROI Institute Announces Appointment of New Team members

February 3, 2012–(Birmingham, Alabama)- The ROI Institute has announced the recent appointment of three new team members, Michele Gay, Rachel Robinson, and Christine Roberts.
Michele Gay has joined the ROI Institute staff in the capacity of Communications and Partnership Manager. Patti Phillips, President and CEO of the ROI Institute says, “We are so pleased to have Michele as part of the ROI Institute team. She jumped right in and was very eager to learn. We look forward to working with her as she learns about the institute and our services. She is a valuable asset to our company.” In this position, Michele manages communications with global partners and organizes events such as ROI Certification around the world.
“Most of our work is performed outside of the US. Michele will coordinate our work with partners representing 58 countries,” explains Jack Phillips, Chairman of the ROI Institute. Before joining the ROI Institute, Michele worked for Picturebook, The Directory of Children’s Illustration for 15 years. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a major in Communications.
Rachel Robinson has joined the staff in the capacity of Senior Editor and Writer. In her position, she manages the publication process and is responsible for drafting, proofing, and editing print material for the ROI Institute. She works closely with authors and publishers to coordinate the many publishing efforts of the ROI Institute. Rachel has also been charged with coordinating the ROI Institute’s upcoming Evaluation Week with the University of Southern Mississippi.
Although much of her career experience lies in the fields of technical and business writing, she has been published in additional disciplines and concentrations. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Jack Phillips, Chairman of the ROI Institute adds, “We are pleased to have Rachel on the team. She is an excellent editor and writer and will make a tremendous contribution. The ROI Institute has contracts for 20 books to write for major publishers. This is our largest backlog and we are pleased to have Rachel to manage this.”
Christine Roberts, the most recent addition to the staff, has joined as Technical Support Manager. In her position, she will compile databases, manage the website, design instructional materials, assist with editing print material, design marketing resources, and work on ongoing projects to make ROI Institute materials available in online courses.
“We are so glad to have Christine’s technical experience and editing skills,” adds Patti Phillips, President and CEO, “She will be a valuable asset to us.” Before joining the ROI Institute, Christine worked at the UAB School of Public Health in their Multimedia & Information Technology Services department as a Computer Tech Apprentice for three years. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
