Measuring the Impact and ROI of Learning and Development
In today’s economic times, it is critical to connect learning and development to the business and show executives the value of their investment in this area. A recent survey of Fortune 500 CEO’s conducted by the ROI Institute, revealed some startling information. Only 4% of CEO’s are currently measuring ROI and 74% state that ROI should be measured in the future. This study shows that the two most desired measurement categories, business impact and ROI, are the least measured. This disconnect could mean trouble ahead if steps are not taken to ensure that results are delivered and reported.
